Receiving Vault Restoration 

The Job

• The Receiving Vault was Constructed in 1879 to store deceased until the frozen ground thawed.
• We utilized historic natural cement mortars to replace deteriorated joints.
• The structure was temporarily shored in place while we replaced the large sandstone gutters that supported the roof structure.
• The entire building was cleaned, the large steel doors were restored, and the roofing was flashed with new copper
